It's Christmas Day! I do some final food prep, and then the guests arrive. We've got lots of footage of YarnderMum being her very cute self, as well as Smudge the YarnderDog and the rest of the Yarnder family. In the evening we visit the Yarnders-in-law, where Smudge meets a new doggie friend and we end the evening with a game of Star Wars Trivial Pursuit.
It's Christmas Eve! I'm doing lots of cooking today, as well as looking at Christmas lights, and watching our traditional Xmas Eve shows (including the Justice League cartoon).
It's Christmas Eve Eve! Lots happening today, involving copious amounts of (re-used) wrapping paper, for gifts and making bon-bons for the table. I also finish-up the two knitted gifts I needed to finalise, and I can now rest a little, knowing that there is just the food prep to do.
It's a red, black and grey day as my knitting visits several places including a lovely lunch location. Sophie "meets" Hello Kitty, and Smudge helps with knitting.
As well as getting a blood test (fascinating) I went to a workshop organised by Krissy who started the business "Inspired Little Pot". We learned all about making our own body products from easy-to-find, low-tox ingredients. You can find all her contact details at 08:02:22
There's the opening of the Advent calendars, some time in a shady spot outside, carol singing from a work colleague and donations of food & toys that I organised for my workplace to donate to charity.
I check out the new She-ra reboot with the YarnderTeen, have lots of tea (some good, some not so), sample some local beers, and, of course, do some knitting.
We've got Christmas decorations, we've got YarnderMum and we've got dinner at a Japanese restaurant for my step-son's 22nd birthday. It was a great Summer Saturday. :-)
Today I show you some of the sights of Perth city as I make my way to work and to meet up with a knitting friend in the early evening. (We did have a sad end to the night though, with a one-way vet trip for our rattie, Mimi.)
Today there is lots of footage of YarnderMum! However, in some of the videos, her head isn't showing - sometimes, when I record on my phone, it cuts off the top of the shot when I use the editing software and I have no idea how to make that not happen. So, apologies that her voice is disembodied, but I included several still shots so you can see her gorgeous smile. :-) There's also some advent things, yummy (and easy) food, and of course, Smudge.
Today we take Smudge for a walk amongst the gorgeous jacaranda trees; make a yummy Moroccan vegan dinner; and look at some other things around the house.
Today we open advent packages and tea for the 2nd and 3rd of December; go on an early morning walk; do some knitting, and drink wine out of a can. (Yes, a can.) ;-)
